Default some e series parts ar obselete

my dear friend has a eb gt and some thing is wrong with is fuel sender i think and the local spare parts place hold him that they are obselete y is this, and my other friend has a 1998 FBT and he cant even get parts for it either so y is that, some of us dont want to throw away our machines becasue of parts being obselete, some of us want to keep our cars and not sell them, i nkow there is the wrecker option but what about if we want new parts not second hand parts it is a bit disapointing that after 11 + years cant get some new parts for our cars, we all cant afford to be up grading cars all the time,

WE ARE NOT AMERICA OR JAPAN WHO UP GRADES EVERY 12 MONTHS

This is insane, what if my EL breaks down ohh iam sorry i cant get that part new or aftermarket part because it's obselete ohhh us e series or pervious model ownders are stuffed

I guess you can fit all the parts for every car ford produced in your garage?
They only have to hold parts for upto 10-11 years iirc.

Damn, I wish I could go to ford and buy a Venetian blind for my 1970 cortina.

Wait a minute, at this rate, I wouldn't have to go far to get a part, cos' if they held every part... I'd me sure their shed would be withing 2 minutes of everyone.

I think you will find that although you cannot buy a genuine part you will most certainly be able to buy a reproduction unit.

Fuel sender for an EBGT would be the same as any other Falcon.

Ford probably make enough parts for their rarer models, but its the people who dont own these cars who buy up all the parts for their non-genuine model. Thus when it comes time for the genuine owners to need these parts they are all gone.

Probably why FPV parts cost a fortune and you need a VIN.

Wiper motor is no big deal, its just like any other electric motor and can be rebuilt.
XR8 Fuel reg? They'd be a dime a dozen in the US.

Some E-Series Cars are obsolete.

Believe it or not, the first EAs are now 20 years old. The current regulations only state that Original parts have to be kept in stock at dealers for ~10 years, and every E Series Falcon is older than 10.

Ford, being Ford have many parts that are carried over from series to series, so I'm not worried. Just don't expect simple parts (that are expected as the norm) to be standard on newer Fords. At least they will be simple when things go wrong...

Pretty sure the fuel sender is the same from EA-AU so it will be available from somewhere.

Meh this always happens with old cars... its not a Ford specific thing.

Try finding parts for an XY, my cousin drove himself nuts trying to find some items (mechanical stuff doesn't seem too difficult but some of the trim isn't so easy).

When cars get to a certain age, you almost always end up finding the wreckers yard as the only place to get some parts...

Try to find a mounting base for an NF-NL interior light. They disappear from wreckers in no time and they're now obsolete from Ford. That's my fun of the moment.

E-series have been obsolete for 5+ years..... as said before, repro parts will cover it. Stuff can be rebuilt too.

Nothing to worry about

i was gonna add Fairmont and the GT parts would be the hardest to get due to not many being sold as parts, wrecked, like soon as they get a Mont in all the parts sold within a week it being there

I still got the EL Grille off my Wrecked Monty

Hard to believe isn't it.

Fortunately, Ford are the masters at using the same parts for literally 20 years. Just look under the bonnet of an E-Series, and a BA, and there are more things the same than there are different.

Apparently the vectra exhaust manifolds were unobtainium after only 6 years. Holden are really poor at the 10 year rule.

There are quite a few parts that are hard to find for N/D/F/L and fairmonts. I'm thinking of prowling the accident auctions and buying a few cars, poaching a stock and wrecking what I don't need.
