So you think you’re pretty handy behind the wheel? Well here’s your chance to prove it! :eclipsee_
The club is planning a go-karting event on Sunday November 9th. Venue is Superkarts – 46 Sheppard St Hume (www.superkarts.com.au/about.html). Cost is a follows: 10 minutes x 1 $17 10 minutes x 2 $32 10 minutes x 3 (less than 10 people) $45 10 minutes x 3 (more than 10 people) $42 An alternative if we get enough people is to hire the whole venue for one hour – cost of this would be $540 and for that you can have as many people as they have karts. As a guide though, each person would get up to 4 x 10-minute sessions or 3 x 15-minute sessions. For arguments sake, if we had 15 people, it would only cost $36 per head for the hour and the more we get the lower the cost. As an added incentive, we’ll have some prizes to give away on the day (and not just for fastest either so everyone’s welcome to join in!). If you’re interested, please add your name to the list below, including how many 10-minute sessions you'd be willing to race. Hope to see you all on the track! 1) Richard 3 x 10 minutes 2) Nicole 2 x 10 minutes 3) 4) 5) |

Bummer man, this would be fun but I'll be out of town for work that weekend, and a couple of others as well soon.

Ok people we're booked in for 11am this Sunday morning, November 9. The venue once again is:
Superkarts 46 Sheppard Street Hume If you aim to arrive at about 10.50 we can get everyone processed. Make sure you're wearing closed footwear. There are still a couple of spots available if you haven't put your name down yet. If your name is down but you can't make it please let me know so I can change our booking. As I mentioned, there'll be some prizes on the day so the competition should be fierce! See you on the track! :eclipsee_ |

Pics from race 3
Congrats to GeeDub for showing everyone up with several 32sec laps, while the best the rest of us could do was 34's. I wondered why he was removing the turbo off the F6 before the race.

Congratulations to Glenn who drove the wheels off everything - even the crew at Superkarts were impressed! Final awards were:
Fastest lap time - Glenn (GeeDubF6) - 32.832 seconds ( a full second faster than the next quickest!) Fastest average lap time - Glenn (GeeDubF6) - average of 34.723 seconds across 32 laps Biggest improvement in fastest lap time - Chris (data_mine) - 3.669 seconds Other worthy mentions were Chris who frightened us all when he turned up with his own race helmet and Glenn's son Andrew who took the Paul Morris approach to anyone who got in his way (including complete strangers!). We all had a great time although there's a few bruises and sore arms today! |

Thanks all for another fun outing!! Have to admit that the efforts yesterday took their toll today - a little worse for wear
Paul Morris Jr (Rick Kelly/Mark Skaife?) thoroughly enjoyed his time, had me envious when he was wishing he had more than 3 runs... Don't know how they do it, surely hitting from behind hurts almost as much as being hit! : Thanks to the club for putting up the prizes.
