Somewhere along the lines somehow my top half of my intake manifold has started getting rediculously hot, when i first originally purchased the car after going for a bit of a drive i'd pull over and it would be relatively cool, now even with a 3/8 phenolic spacer on it, its hitting 80-90c when i pull over and check it.
I've tried a lot of things on it to try and get it cooler but nothing's working, now im starting to think that it may have something to do with the black cover that goes underneath the car off the bumper, cause mine's broken and long gone. thinking that it maybe helps direct airflow in/out of engine bay? Or that maybe its from the pacey extractors increasing engine bay temp. Any ideas? Any suggestions?

Id be more inclined to say its the pacey's mate . My underbonnet temps were much higher when i fitted extractors, so i got them ceramic coated and this helped alot. I now have AMHO sierra vents and it makes a huge difference. Another thing to try is removing the rubber insert/seal from the rear of the bonnet to allow air to escape quicker.

hmmm i will try that, so what you don't think the black plastic guard tray underneath helps direct airflow thru engine bay?
