Default 1600 oil pressure

My mk 2 cortys oil light was coming on at idle when i bought a few weeks ago (it had been sitting for a year) then the second time i drove it it stayed on.Ive done an oil/filter change and now it comes on at idle but only when warm. I havn't had much to do with oil pumps and was wondering if they are servicable or should i just replace it.
