Default Has Nissan decided to get agressive?

There has been a lot of hype over the $150k GTR that will be here next year but until recently Nissan's sport vehicles, while reasionably quick, have net really set the world on fire. Not everyone can afford $150k.

The new AUD$64K 370Z was recently tested by Motortrend and the results were far better than I expected.

400m 13.3 @ 105Mph, 0-100 4.7, 0.99G lateral force in the skid pan.

Holy snapping duckpoop Batman.......

May be a stupid question, and probably get smashed for it, but would this be P Plate legal? Or considered in the performance restriction?

13.3.. Being a NA 6 it would be legal so long as its not restricted?

Also would the Nissan 350z be legal for P plates?

Yeah it will under the "High-powered 6" List.

I think anything over 200kw is counted as a high powered 6.

I'm not to much of a fan of the 350/370Z look while it's not an ugly car it's not great looking.

Looks like it will be a tough car...I found the track zed's i've driven at work to be a bit dissapointing, they are no slouch but there nothing special...The twin turbo one on the other hand gave me the boot in the backside it needed from factory haha.

I don't like what they've done to the lights, at both ends... wait to see it in the flesh/metal/plastic before final judgement. Barring that, it's got some nice new lines...

Then technically the FG should be on the list, as you get a rating of 205kw when run on 95 octane

I wonder when the bong heads setting those rules will make the falcon an exclusive car.

(I say bong head because I believe it should be based on kw/ton and kw/litre, butttt thats for another thread to discuss)

Bit sceptical of the times, the 350 only runs mid 14's and the 370 only has a little bit of extra power and slightly lower weight. American mags always pump out times so much quicker than the rest of the world seems to be able to achieve. I think high 13's might be more realistic here in Oz.

keep in mind 0-60mph is 0-96km/h not 0-100km/h, as the yanks test them. So will probably be a tad slower although not by much.

Wheels got 13.8 for a 350Z last year. But like all the other 400m stars it was an auto and like all other marques including Ford/FPV, the manuals are better on circuits.
