Default After market rocker covers on AU 5litre

Has anyone ever put after market alloy rocker covers on their 5litre and if so do they fit under the manifold or is there any other problems with fitting them

depends how big the covers are... but should fit under manifold. only thing you may have a prob wit is ur throttle body on the other side (espec if u hav cruise control). only going by memory of what the engine is setup like but.

Yes, I have ford Motorsport rocker covers on mine. There is a (emissions?) tube that runs under the intake manifold that could foul on the rocker covers - I solved it by getting a 1/2" phenolic spacer at the same time which raises the manifold up by that amount - just enough. Cost around $480 all up, I think.

I got mine from Raceparts in Qld - they do mail order etc, and sell, or can get, anything out of the Ford Motorsport catalogue.

If you just want different rocker covers, I have my old set painted in crinkle finish black - $80 (plus postage) and they're yours.
