Default Bling for Small Ford Sunday

As some of you may know, I am having a new top end built on my engine. Ford Racing CNC'd cylinder head (milled by 0.040" to raise compression), uprated valves and springs, Ford Racing Stage 2 camshafts, Ford Racing vernier cam gears, billet oil pump gears, ARP studs and bolts etc.

It is all with Rob Herrod at the moment, and I'm just waiting on a new set of solid valve lifters from the U.S. I'm hoping it will all be finished by SFS.

However, I've created a little something to top it all off when its finished, and I couldn't wait to share

Hope you like it!

Bought the stock valve cover (brand new) off a guy in the U.S for $50

Sprayed the cover with Harley Davidson black crinkle finish crankcase paint.
(Stuffed it up 1st time, had to strip it and do it again)

Got my stainless steel plug cover (Auto Specialists UK) CNC engraved by a company here in Melbourne (Dont ask how much! : )

Pinched the logo off the web, and the guys in the studio at work retouched and resized it.

All in all I am really rapt with it, and couldn't wait to share.

Generous praise welcome!

I've collected the parts bit by bit over the last two years, but don't want to think how much!

However, I bought most of the parts at really good prices, and the big bits (cylinder head) when the dollar was 96c.

And yeh, at Herrod's in Thomastown. Even though it's not a Falcon, Rob has always been really enthusiastic with me about my Focus projects

Will Rob dyno the Focus for a before-and-after comparison? BTW I've been perusing cnc.co.uk and their prices for the Focus isn't too bad imo.

I am contemplating my own "bling" to compliment our display (ozmodel.com).

Hi Eddie. Yes Rob will dyno, and I have the old dyno sheet to compare. he'll need ti dyno it to a. custom tune, and b.tune the vernier cam gears

I'm hoping for 96kw at the wheels (as opposed to 96kw at the engine - stock), but more will be nice!!!!!

(ozmodel.com.........now that is a totally different type of bling Eddie!!!!)

Had me worried for a minute there, steve. Thought you'd gone and bought a set of 20" chrome spinners.

I knew you had better taste.

Steve, first thing is first....what great job your doing on your car. I have always admired it. Wished I could do all the things you did to your car. But sorta realised I don't have that sort of money to throw about. But always had a ball to see what you had installed for SFS.

Secondly, I don't want to know how much you spent but if you need something engraved again....let me know and I will refer you to someone near Herrods. He is a mate of mine and he does a good price. Even the company I work for gets all their stuff off him.

Thanks Adam. I really appreciate that.

And even though you're a Falcon owner these days, you'll still be coming to SFS won't you?

Not a lot really Helder. Looks like my engine won't be finished in time, as a couple of small parts have been delayed from the states
