Default 06 fiesta playing up

quite recently the girlfriends fiesta started playing up, first it had trouble starting up, need to try 3 times before it came to life..
then we noticed it was lacking in performance and fuel efficiency.
yesterday for some reason it would not rev past 4000rpm weather it was in neutral, park or drive. it just felt like it was maxing out the same way it hits the limiter..

so far ive tired replacing battery, changing spark plugs, changing leads, cleaning out the throttle body, checked fuel pressure regulator + fuel pump and filter..
can anyone point me in a direction as to where or what i should do
this car has been nothing but problems since the day of purchase
ford warranty sucks balls

Has ford seen the problem? Take it to a different ford dealer if your not happy withthe one you've been too. If ford see the problem they have to fix it, if its intermidant then its tough, but if it does it all the time they should be able to find the problem. Plus if they log the problem before your warranty runs out you have some sort of chance. Also if you ring ford australia i have found that you get much better response because they ring the dealer and harrass them.

Checked all vacuum lines are in place ? If a vacuum line isn't connected can make any car run rough.

have tried a few ford dealers. none can find the problem, end up re-flashing the ecu, or at least the say they do. i think the just reset it(shifty c#nts..
problem is the try to charge $120 for labour, even when they fail to find the problem

mines doing similar thing it only did it every now and again would have trouble starting would take 2-3 times of pumpin the accel. pedal to get it to start, it eventually shat itself wouldnt go over 80k's and was popping and farting like it had a vacuum leak then wouldnt start at all. replaced the plugs and a lead that was _ucked still wouldnt start replaced the coil pack and its running and driving but still has trouble starting. Mines a 2004 fiesta auto we reset the ecu still doing it.???? knows what it is now
