Australia Day Long Weekend

The club has made bookings at the Sunset Caravan Park at Woolgoolga for the 23rd, 24th, 25th of January. There will be a small group heading up on the 23rd meeting at the BP service station at 1.30PM, if you want to be a part of this group, please let Melissa Cameron know or leave a message on Ford Forums in the Woolgoolga thread. The main group heading up on the 24th, will be meeting at the Food for Less Car park at the NEW TIME 7:45AM and departing around 8:00AM, this is to ensure that we all have camp set up, and we have the afternoon to relax by the pool, or enjoy a game of cricket, and lunch will be set up by those arriving on Friday night, and possibly a evening cruise of the local area will be organised (depending on certain conditions). Neil Jubb has a weekend of enjoyment planed out for our weekend up there so we can have a great time. Sunday will be a cruise to Karangi Dam and then a cruise to Glenreagh Pub for a counter meal lunch. We will then head of to the Big Banana for entertainment for the afternoon, with Waterslides

These events at the park should accommodate all ages, and all prices for these activities is on the Big Banana web site www.bigbanana.com. We will be then heading back to camp for dinner, and evening drinks and conversation. Monday we will be departing aproximatly 10.00AM and heading to Scotts Head for lunch at the local Pub, and then departing there for home.The club has booked 11 camp sites with 2 powered sites, if you want to stay in a cabin you will have to make your own bookings, you can contact the Sunset Caravan Park on 66541499. WE NEED A $40.00 DEPOSIT NOW. The camp site rates are $25:00 PER COUPLE per night with $6:00 extra PER PERSON per night for UNPOWERED SITES, and the powered sites are $30:00 PER COUPLE per night with $6:00 extra PER PERSON per night. CABINS are $80:00 PER NIGHT PER COUPLE and an extra $6:00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT. The club is looking forward to this event and hopefully it will be as fun as last year’s trip.

For those that have not been on a Wollgoolga trip before.... Please to remember to bring some camping chairs, as well as all your camping gear, dont forget to bring some swimmers as we are right beside the pool and we are hitting the water slides on sunday. For those that have not gone before, food is $20.00 per head and you get all you can eat meals for lunch / dinner saturday....breakfast / dinner Sunday and breakfast Monday, which is an awesome deal. You will need to buy your own lunch at Glenreagh pub on Sunday, and all alcohol is also supplied by yourselves. The friday afternoon group has been cancelled, everybody will be travelling up together on Saturday morning. Leaving Port at 8:00AM and stopping at BP Clybucca at aprox 9:00AM to pick up more, arriving at Woolgoolga aprox 11:15AM, and setting up camp, with lunch at aprox 12:30PM and the whole afternoon with pool and camp activities for the rest of the day. Still unsure Eric, there will be some new faces. All the Jubb family inc Neil and Karina, myself and Mel, Petar dabelic and 2 freinds, Bill erskine and wife, Martin bamber and family. About 20 people all up so far, Robert Johnston and wife, tex shculze, allan cliff are trying along with one or two others.

As Eric said.....we all had a great time....got to talk to some newer members and get to know them better. Overall it is the best outing of the year.....muscle car masters comes close, Australia day long weekend will always stay the number 1 trip away. Enjoy the pics.

Finally got around to checking out the pics... I'm so jealous that we couldn't get there this time. Looks like you all had a really great time.

From the pics it looks like we got kicked out of the old camping spot this year?

LOL...yes Rob....they put us at the back of the park all by ourselves, and in the end i think it was a better spot. But again there was certain people complaining of us playing cricket and noise ect ect...but no mater where we go, we will get those sort of people. Bring on next year at Forster / Tuncurry.
