Default au idle at 3500rpm

as above, my au is idleing at 3500rpm what can casue this?

it had aftermarket computer, injectors etc, and is turbo if that makes any diffrence, only been doing it since a changed the head gasket

Highly likely.Did you reconnect the brake booster hose?If so check the intake mating sufaces or pcv valve.Youll have to do the usual checks..

yea that is connected, ill go over it all on monday, the grommet was slightly cracked on pvs but it seals so i dunno

Also make sure the throttle body blade os close and the idle speed controller isnt faulty..

the only other thing i can think off is make sure your coolant temp sensor is plugged in propperly.
it sits on the driver side right back at the fire wall on the rear off the head.it will chuck in lmp if its not plugged in or broken....

Check your accelerator cable where it sits in the saddle on top of the rocker cover. Might sound stupid, but this is the cause for me, under heavy acceleration it sometimes pulls the outer sleeve of the cable back an inch then jams up against the saddle resulting in higher revs including an idle around the same mark you mentioned. An easy fix would be for me to use a bit of silicone to secure it……. One day

coolant temp sensor is brand new lol

the cable is fine,

ive norrowed it down to the catch can blowing not sucking or vise versa, pumbed it up stocko and runs fine
