Howdy Members,
I thought i would post up on what the committee acted on yesterday. For those of you not living in Launceston or unable to listen to LAFM, yesterday they had a 12 hour broadcast to raise money for the vic bush fires. Gary (secretary) heard it on the radio and that a couple of other car clubs had donated some money to the cause. After a quick ring around the other committee members, the club itself donated $200. At this stage the radio station was trying to raise 60k by 2pm. For those interested when the broadcast finished at 6pm, they had raised 135k to donate to the red cross foundation. The club gained on air promotion from the presenters about our donation. Just thought you might all like to know Cheers Tim |
