hehe lol, hes just got a picture of his car and put cutouts of rims to cover the wheels currently on it lol aka photoshopped :p but yea def's give the tyres a shine up ;) dont look too bad though

hahaha yeah ive since shined the tyes don't worry - its a photoshop type job.....so yeah just wanting your opinions on whether the rims suit the car or not.....

The wheels look like they have some raised / angled bits on them (can see the light / shading on them).
I reckon go to a tyre / wheel dealer and see how they look against your car for real. I like it.

They look good. I'd be going 19" wheels though. 18's just aren't enough these day if you really want your car to stand out.
19" minimum for a good looking daily.

I do agree that 19" are now a minimum for looking good these days.

Ive got 20's and mine is a daily driver... no troubles at all. Rims would look good with the cars guts a little closer to the ground!!!!

Nothing wrong with 18's. Cheaper tire replacement than 19's too. I dont think you'll be disappointed.

ok another question - if I got these, would I be able to run my stock 215/60/r16 wheel&tyre as a spare if ever needed?? or would i be better off getting another 18"....

Theoretically you can, but your speedo might be out.
overall diameter of the tire(s) will determine if your speedo will be out and by how much. check this site out http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html But considering it will be used as a spare, it will be fine. I have the exact combo your looking at with my spare rim/tire being 215/60/16. Its just for emergency reasons.

If you ever get a flat, you can put your stockie 16" steelie on no worries. Just don't expect it to handle like it did. Different balance & weight in the car, speedo will be affected. Wheel alignment will be off, and it's recommended you stick to < 80km/h.
There's no need to fork out the extra cash for a alloy spare. Cheers

yeah forgot to add, dont pay up for a 5th extra alloy which you may use once a year at most if that. The stocky is an emergency provision thats all.
