Default Next project. Dead Cow!

I know the latest mod (heads and cams) is not finished (or paid for yet!!), but I have my next project in planning.

As some know, the "Photn, Fast Eddie, Melbzetec ST170 wreck purchase" scored me the ST170 half leather interior.

But the blue inserts don't suit my monochrome colour scheme.

So the plan is to replace the blue cloth inserts with leather.

I thought for a while about what colour scheme. Charcoal and silver? A bit garish. Charcoal and grey? Maybe. Maybe boring. Charcoal with black inserts? Potentially.

But then I had inspiration from a shot in a UK Ford mag. An approach that is genuine Ford, but not in a Focus. Says performance and luxury at the same time. Classic but purposeful.

The inspiration? A photo of the interior of the Mustang GT Bullitt!!

How it is:

How I plan it to be!

Perforated colour matched charcoal leather, in the Mustang GT style. Pure Ford performance transplanted to a Focus!!

Waddaya think?

I love finishing one project off and already planning / starting the next!

IMHO, the leather looks fantastic and would really suit your car. It would look perfect with the monochromatic exterior.

The charcoal leather will look and feel fantastic.

I'd leave the steering wheel where it is though

Steve, I like the bottom photo also. Personally, I would see if I can get a Mk1 Focus emblem in there somewhere on the backrest say near the shoulder area. That, to me, sort of reminds me of Euro performance cars like my obsolete RECARO that I still own.

The seats in Picture 2 needs some bolstering too. One needs to sit IN the seat not on it.

Whadeya expect eddie?, they're made for lardarsed yanks.

I would have to agree with the perforated leather. That's what's in the XR5 and it's really schmick. But they to tend to catch small crumbs and what not. Learned the hard way not to eat a bag of salted chips in the car.

I got worried when I read this. For a brief moment i thought you might be considering tartan inserts a la GTI.

If you had, I would have offered my opinion by chundering in your car.
But, lucky for both of us, you have far better taste than that.

Oh, and you will love the smell you're greeted with everytime you open the door after it's done too.
(the leather that is, not my chunder)

Steve, sorry to have such a delay in getting the trimmers number. My dad misplaced his business card so therefore I am trying to get the right channels at work to get his number because he works in port melbourne and not campbellfield. Just letting you know that I am trying mate. Also I like the bottom one.

Thanks Adam. I have to get the front seats down from Sydney yet, and save a few more $$$$$$!, so no rush. I appreciate the effort.

Hey Steve I'm driving up to Syd via the Alps and back via the Hume. If you need the front seats transported, consider it done on March 14-15.

lol nice one Sean.

Honestly I don't mind driving to your place. We'll work it out.

I have the Focus Sedan, should be able to fit both seats and all the crap you want. She'll be fairly loaded up...
