Lucky it was a spring, i know to well the horrible feeling when it's something worse.
So what now, replace all the springs and that's it or are you going further.

I'm undecided atm, hopefully I will be able to go some decent heads and a new intake while it is apart.

Valued Contributor: For members whose non technical contributions are worthy of recognition. - Issue reason: Always willing to help out fellow AFF members... Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Daniels knowledge of modular engines and superchargers is extremely valuable to the AFF community. I have learnt quite a bit just reading his build threads. His contributions are often utilised by other members.

Russ, get some alloys and the RPMII (you know you want to) then fit a set springs to the "P"s and sell them to recoup some $$$.

I get the feeling that you will want to keep the Gt40 tubular manifold, but there is a source of some extra funds if you need it. I would hang on to the 70mm TB unless you have a T3 82mm already lined up.

If I go the RPMII the GT40 will be going to the bloke I am getting the RPM II off. I want to source a decent sized TB and then I'll flog off all the old bits to get some $$$ back.

Just make sure the RPM11 fits under the bonnet as i've got some slight rubbin on my fairlane against the insulation, since your's is the low series bonnet just check the clearances.

Hmm, interesting.
I can see Stavros' point in that the XR bonnets are lower than the fairmont/fairlane bonnets which may cause clearance issues on the XR's.
Then its interesting to hear that forum members have claimed that the RPMII has cleared the XR bonnets no problems.
Stavros, are you running a phenolic spacer between the upper and lower?
