Default AU3 doors wont lock (stay locked)

AU3 wagon doors won't stay locked.
Whether using key, remote, or drivers door button from inside, result is just the same, they unlock, except that with remote they take an extra half second to unlock, and the "horn alarm" sounds.

Now I've read russelw's great article on actuators, and all of mine are working great individually (tested singly, all will lock and unlock), in fact I've even tested a spare set I have and installed them........still no joy........

My guess is that the computer runs a test after they lock, and that this test shows (falsely) that one door is still open, so the locking process is reversed.

Has anyone solved this problem in the past, as I said, it seems to be more a computer problem than an actuator problem.

Any help appreciated

1. don't slam the door
2. Ask for the upgraded actuator - the new ones come with metal gears inside which is supposed to stop them breaking

Apart from the above, there is not much you can do when they break apart from replace them, but they are something you can do yourself; last one i did cost me $20 and 30 mins in time.
