Was bored so I thought I put together the styling cues from various cars around the world to make my perfect Falcon. Jag XF side profile minus those dodgy vents,BMW 5 series tail lights, 2010 Taurus front, Jag XF interior minus the woodgrain and replaced with either brushed metal or G6E style graphite inserts. Hate the bootline of the 5 series but like the rest of it's rear even though there's no way it would gel with the XF. Would be intering to see what combinations others come up with.

for me, the FG puts together nearly all the perfect styling cues from the past 20 years of falcons. Especially the rear. If only they'd used a 'low-hipped, long boot' design like an AU/BA, it'd be awesome.

I'd love it if Falcon went retro. Can you imagine a combination of the following:

Boss315, you got the right idea. I would love to see a modern iteration of the XA.

I'd go with the EF/EL shape. I don't really think they've topped it with regards to post-classic falcons. I still prefer them above the BA's/BF's and FG's. I'd love it if they started reproducing this shape again
Maybe add the boss bonnet rise a factory option on the up-spec Falcons and you'd have a winner. Also, have them lower from the factory. Reinventing retro shapes (ie. especially XA-XC, probably XA the most) might not be the best idea. They should probably just be left alone, since I think they're best appreciated this way. Doing such a thing would ruin their image as being something special nowadays. |
