Default El Fairlane work

HI, I have an '96 EL Fairmont Ghia, V8, auto, dual fuel, extractors, exhaust, stock motor (as far as I know). 190xxx k's

Dont want to go the turbo route....been there with Toyotas.

Looking for a worked V8 cruiser these days.....

Just wondering what a budget of $2000 - $3000 would get me in the way of engine work?? And what sort of power I could expect?

Cheers guys,
Cam
