Ive had this problem for a while now, its a loud clanging noise from the rear right wheel, when it first started, it was really quiet, then within a month or two, it has gotten really loud. After learning of my shock mounts being stuffed i replaced them, that made the noise very quiet, but it was still faintly there, within a month it got back to noisy again. Ive put up with it as it was only noisy on large bumps, but just now tonight its gotten really bad, even the smoothest bump will make a loud noise.
Ive had a mate drive along side me and record so that you guys could hear what it sounds like, maybe gives yas a better idea of what the problem may be. http://s713.photobucket.com/albums/w...t=CIMG1098.flv He also said the rear right wheel is bouncing heaps, this i recall being something that a stuffed shock mount would do, i used washers on my replacement shock mount and everything so i dont think the mount would give in so quick. I'm begginning to think it could be the shock itself which is stuffed, what do you guys think, could the shock make this kind of noise? I've checked almost everything in the backend and could find it, i cant create the same kind of force to the wheel to help find where in there the noise is coming from. |

Check your bushes? I have a bad noise exactly like that in my EA and have to get it fixed. Mines an upper control arm bush and it's completely chewed out.

Ok, im in the middle of finding a second hand shock to test whether or not the shock is making the noise before i spend big dollars on replacements. If anyones got one layin around i'd be interested in buying!
Ive talked to FTG, but with postage its a little pricey just to use as a test shock. |
