Default Exhaust Tip!

Hi guys, the exhaust tip on my AU has fallen off and now im left with an ugly old rusted jaggered tip. I was just wandering is there any place where i can get a Chrome Dual Tip in Adelaide. I dont want the muffler box or anything that will enhance sound just something with a bit of style. Ive done some searching at Autobahn, Repco etc but no one seems to have any!

Any Tips would Be much appreciated!

Cheers.

any exhaust joint, my mate brought one from an autobarn or motoquipe and drilled a hole through the back of the tip and a hole where he wanted it on the exhaust and used a nut and bolt so it was secure.

as some exhaust joints charge to weld it on.

It depends on where you are located.

AAA exhausts at Richmond do a good job with exhausts so they should have a range. If you are more located to the north or don't mind driving up this way, I got mine installed at a place in Brahma Lodge from a choice of 100+.

very surprised autobahn doesnt have any... they should be able to order one in from a book anyways, in most cases they are cheaper than exhaust joints because they generally buy in bulk

A tip from an exhaust shop or ebay is the way to go - you'll save between 20 and 50% compared to buying one at RicerBarn and the like.

mmm i paid more for my tip at the exhaust place than i did at autobahn because the exhaust place didnt buy in bulk
that being said, some probably do, maybe the bigger shops but it was a $20 difference between the auto shops and the exhaust place i went to to get it done

Cheers guys, yeh ive looked around on e-bay way to expensive for my liking as majoirty of the items are from the Us and shipping is heaps! As for Autobahn, i personnaly asked the bloke to see if he can get any in, waiting around for about 15 minutes he rekons he couldnt find any or get any in atm..? Pretty frustrating, but as AU Big Foot suggested AAA exhausts have a good range but id only travel that far as a last resort surely there is somewhere closer!!

Thanks Fellas.

I'll ask around and see if people know anyone around that area that is reputable. The two experiences i have had have been at Richmond and Brahma Lodge if you can stretch to either of those.

out of curiosty what sort of exhaust tip are you looking at getting.

my fav exhaust tip setup is a twin 2.5" chrome tips. really suits the shape of the au bumpers whether you have the skirting kit or not.

Best Mufflers is a great site..i would be looking to get,

http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/pr...9609cc31cd2e88

http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/pr...9609cc31cd2e88

or my favourite

http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/pr...9609cc31cd2e88

Yeah i paid $90 fitted for a twin 2.5 dump pipe. I couldn't justify spending much more for a tip.

Thanks for all the help guys! I will have to look into ordering from autobahn..but i to cant justify spending that much for a tip...but the ones i mentioned above are perfect for my AU! I just think the dual has a much nicer touch than the single tip!

Cheers.

For what it's worth, here is what a twin 2.5 dump tip would look like:
