Which ones?
I think i have decided to keep the AU and maybe sink 4-5k in it, then put the other 10k onto the homeloan in sept. (hard freeeeeekin decision...) I have my holidays coming up in 5 weeks and wanna get some new rims and tires. I currently have somne pretty massively gutter rashed Azzurros.. Option 1: Goto magman (or similar) and get the Azzurros fixed up and buy some new tires from tempe (cost around $1300 total) Option 2: Akuma N-06 (Cost $1299 w/ tyres) Option 3: K-Speed Shallen (Cost $1400 w/ tyres) Option 4: Zenetti Kaotik (Cost $1550 with 18*9.5's on the rear or $1299 with 18*8.5's) I love my azzurros, but i also love the idea of getting a new look and having the azzurros as spares

1. azzurros have been done to death
2. look awesome 3. looks like those rodney jane racing every commodore specials 4. look great, but would not suit an AU. no way, far too chunky. would make it look older than it actually is, too nineties. would suit an E-series though.

Ive seen the kaotics and the do look great on an AU.... But if your only going with 18's I think because of the lip they have it will make them look smaller. They look really good in 19s or 20s but I think 18s are a little small for that sort of rim..Just my opinion
I'd go option 2 if your going 18's Michael |

Get the azzurros fixed, hunt for a cheap price. Or pick up a set of second hand 19's off the forums, ebay, trading post etc?
IMO those 3 styles in 18's wouldnt bother ;) |

18's are fine with 9.5" rear 8.5" front but only if your AU is low !
Jamie's TE was on 18's looked low and tuff but the enkie spoke went to the end of the rim. As for the wheel choices well ? done to death imo and I far prefer the top 2 purely that the spokes go all the way to the edge but dislike the designs, kaotics look the best but with curves at the end of the spokes will look small. Though 265 rear and 245 front low should look the goods ! Good luck mate wheels are a

The Shallen looks interesting. Does it have a dish? It appears to around the bottom but not sure.

To save starting a new tyre thread, on the rear, what size tyres would I put on 9" x 17"s?
It'll have 235/45s on the front (8") as I already have them. |

LoL, dont think so! I dont wanna spend more on rims than what my car is worth!
Crap thing is about going up to 19's it's a price increase of over 50% ($1999 compared to $1299). I'll see how the financial situation is in the next few weeks, if i can afford to go 19's i'd prolly end up going 20's cuz they are only $200 more

What about Apec Apaches in black or shadow chrome - tough looking rim, IMO.
Ron - with a 9" rim, you will be looking for a 265 tyre - 265/40/17 is 0.1% different to 235/45/17 (close enough to the same, really). Will be an expensive tyre though as it won't be a common size. You might need to go a 255/40/17, which will see your speedo reading a bit fast (ie 60 indicated will be 59 real), but more choice of brands.

Of those I prefer the Shallens.
Something to consider is the size of your disk rotors. I've got a black set of Adrenalin 17" and because there is so much space between the spokes the disks are very noticeable. IMO, whatever size my disks are (S3 Ghia) they are too small in diameter for really open rim styles. 18's would exacerbate the problem. |

Hey mate, I vote the Kaotik's FTW. Especially if your car is lowered. Dish rims are killer
