hello guys and girls... I noticed something very weird on a passing xr6t on the way to work thismorning.
let me try explain.... On the front passenger window was fixed (by tape) a small waterbottle type container with a bit of oh... around 50mm or 60mm pvc pipe running horizontally across the lid area of the bottle. The bottle had some amount of water sitting in it, the pipe appeared not to be blocked, so air was going through. This guys was also had a trailer with a moped thing in it. Im wondering wtf this could be, and what it's meant to do? Anyone with any clue? Iv attached a quick drawing of the offending item. |

If anything i would have thought the water would be drawn out by the air passing through the tube - same principal as a paint spraygun.
Maybe he was trying to make a vapour trail...for some reason? Or it could have been a type of manometer - was there any sort of gauge/scale on the bottle? -Stu |

Maybe the driver's child has a science experiment and needs to study the venturi effect, so daddy thought he'd help out?

Mmmm, that would be a Ford test car fitted with a humidity sensor attached to the window. With inputs from this into our datalogging system we can calculate instantaneously both relative and absolute humidity depending on if you measure atmospheric pressure or not. And the trailer was probably a trailer dynamometer used to load up the car for testing.
