Default 275/40/17 tyres on rear?

As above... will they fit without rubbing?

Anybody got them on?

I know some of the T-Series boys are using a similar width tyre without any problems. I think they are on 18" or 19" rims tho. Don't see why they would cause any problems but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Street use - 90% of my driving is long trips.

I've already got 235/45/17 for the front and my choice for the back is limited to 255/40/17 or 275/40/17 (or 235/45/17).

I guess I want as much tyre as will fit out of the choice available to me.

It won't break my heart if the 275's won't fit under the guards or are a bad choice generally but if all is go, I'd prefer them.

Just dragged the rims out of the shed.

Rears are 8" Fronts are 7.5".

Probably better with the 255/40 on the rears?
