Default Bluetooth

Is it possible to upgrade to the factory bluetooth kit in BF?

My BF ute has prestige sound but the Territory Ghia we just bought has the premium with factory bluetooth and the full integration is fantastic and the only way I want bluetooth put in the ute.

Hi

please see link below. all kits we supply are plug and play, 30 minute fitment, no need to cut or butcher any wires, therefor warranty on vehicle is safe.

http://www.aslautomedia.com

Go to Store section then select bluetooth

Cheers

Been there, none of those solutions look either factory or fully integrated with ICC so stereo automutes etc. when call comes in.

Thanks Fadi, I will consider my options and get in touch. Possibly to package something up with a few other things.

I have the Parrot CK3200 in my BF and it mutes when a call comes in. I can also see who is calling, number I want to dial from its phone contacts list, etc on its screen. Got it from Fadi with the harness so installation was a breeze.
Cheers - Eric

I've got the Parrot CK3100 in my work ute, is a great unit, mutes the stereo & can access your phone book etc on it. Not sure if you can make this information come through on the ICC?

Any bluetooth system plugged into the B-series cars will mute the stereo etc, as that's how Ford designed the car. I have the CK3200 in my XR8, it's a great system, much better than just a hang up, pickup button. When you can voice dial easily and access your contacts/dial other numbers, you will want to take out the Ford system and get another Parrot for the other car.

alpine do a direct replacement for the factory unit http://www.alpine.com.au/technology/vehiclehubpro.asp .
sticking "extras" on the dash board makes me feel like i've done too much shopping at supercheap.

Im with you GT-0733... I do not want extra screens on dash etc.

I just want to know if its possible to get the info sent to the Parrott screen re-routed to the ICC screen. If not I wont have a screen, simple.

Do you know how the Alpine Hub works? It has an "extra" you stick on the dash.

The extra abilities of the Parrot above the very simple Ford unit are due to it having it's own screen, mono or colour depending on the model.

Any simple BT system with just an answer/hang-up button works the same as factory, and all simply show "media" on the Ford screen, unless you go the Alpine hub, and it comes with an attachment to stick to your dash to control it all. Can you see the pattern?

Maybe the FG model bluetooth may be able to be used in the BA-BF.

It has caller ID and voice recognition for voice tags. But my bluetooth in the BA also had voice tag recognition.

Voice recognition goes both ways. The BT system can use the recognition built into your phone, which means your phone needs to hear you speak, or in the unit, which is better, like a Parrot system or probably the better BT system in the FG, I've never used BT in an FG.
