one thing for the lukey stuff the exhaust note is dam good at low revs, 3" everything, lukey headers cat , race muffler ,hot dog, very nice below 1800/2000 after that a little on the noisey side and a bit droney.

The other noticable thing was the performance.... I was blown away how much better the car actually drove!!!! Heaps more power, acceleration & breaths alot better on LPG!!!!!!

Glad you're happy with it. Redback is what I've got on my LPG equipped SR. Sounds good.

$330 installed is good too. Where did you get it done?

Yeah the 2 muffler redback systems are at an epa noise level. I wasn't very happy driving out of the shop with an exhaust note no louder than stock( maybe a little bit). When I pulled up at my gf house she said it's sound no different then before etc etc.. waste of money etc...etc..

About 6weeks later I fitted a mercury 2.5in hotdog tailpipe section. Now it's sounds hot......

Don't you just hate it when your girlfriend says that, especially for the things you love.

Guys
Two days on & the Ghia is developing abit of a note now. Seems to be getting louder... Sounds tough!!!!
I noticed it yesterday driving home from work but definetally more so today.
The idle sounds like an 8 & has a nice note when driving not too overboard.
More than happy with the performance though!!!!!

Yep, that's the carbon build up. It is to be expected that it would change, luckily for you it was changing to better not worse :P

I made a video yesterday of my Fairlane's current exhaust setup with two drive-bys and wanted to share it:

I have a 2.5" cat back; no idea what brand (Mattp would know). It sounded great (one muffler, no hotdog or resonator, and no drone on highway etc). I recently fitted a set of extractors and 2.5" cat ($395 to my door, fitting done by me; extractors appear to be copies of Pacemaker 4499s) to replace the old blocked and ticking cat, and the sound has changed quite a bit. Certainly louder at idle and part throttle applications, but still good at highway speeds, though it is a little louder than before.

Being on LPG, exhaust really isn't the biggest restriction, but there is a definite improvement in throttle response and sound.
