Default AUII Ute/One Tonner

Can anyone tell me if the AU Ute and the One Tonner are the same chasiss.
ie: Can a ute/styleside be changed to tray or visa versa, a one tonner to styleside.

Or are they different vehicles

Thankyou

Yes they are the same under the tray/styleside. There would be a bit of work involved in changing over though. Note if you need a 1 tonne load capacity, make sure it is on the compliance plate, likewise if you want to run 18" mags etc don't get a 1 tonne

Yeah as "outback ute" mentioned the tray and styleside can be interchanged easily.

Not all cab-chassis tray backs are 1-tonners though ... what makes the one-tonner is the suspension and wheel/tyre package ... and the compliance plate as well.

I have an AUII XLS (sports suspension) ... but there was a option of getting the one-tonner package from factory ... giving the higher load rating ... and high suspension. I have the standard "sports" suspension in mine though ... so it make it easier to change to larger wheels and tyres ... also lowering as well.
