Default Centre Console Lid

Hey guys, is the a tutorial anywhere about how to change the the centre console lid. Just picked up a leather one, but nee to swap the bracket from the original vinyl one....

Seriously? With respect if you have had a look and can't work it out, the safest bet for you would be your local Ford dealer.

True, they really do just screw on. Undo screws and it will come apart, I had to do this when I changed my lid to a leather one as it's frame was broken.

Be careful with the pins in the hinge. Make sure they sit central, as if they are slightly "off" the lid might be a little dodgy in the way it opens and closes.

Undo the hinge screws first, then gently take it out. The cover unscrews with about 6 screw IIRC, however it's been a while since I changed mine.

As others have said, it's an easy job, just take your time and maybe even take a few digital pics as you go, in case you get stuck when putting it all together.

Yeah, where I was coming unstuck was removing the hinge from the pins. Thought it may have clipped off. Regardless I ended up taking the cover off both shells and switching it over. Job done. Thanks for the help guys
