Nadine: The Fiesta’s package of modern looks, comfort, a perky engine and premium feel interior easily win me over.

Thanks for posting this was a good read but as the people who
replied to the test said you cant compare manuals with autos
and with different engine capacities, but because im biased the fiesta
would of come top of the league even over the MAzda 2.

I second both comments - comparing manual and autos is stupid. They've also compared 2 doors with 4 door cars.

No mention of the Getz's 2 star safety rating without side airbags - stability control not withstanding. They say, "“Great safety credentials and good spec as standard almost make up for its uninspired design.” The real world safty results have put this car well below average.

A 2 door CL Fieta with safety pack would have been price competitive, the safest car in the group and given the Swift a run for the money in economy.

And there is no Mazda 2, the 2nd best car in this class after the Fiesta. Dumb test.

I had a prang in my cl fiesta in the rear, whilst I was waiting for my repairs to be done ( that's another long story ) the hire car company gave me a as new suzuki swift the only part the swift had it over the fiesta was the front seats were a tad more comfortable and I liked the blinker stalk which was nicer to use and when I drove my fiesta after it's return wow !!! what a difference in ride quality performance and handling the difference is like chalk and cheese a truley great little car.
