Default Auto servo's

Anybody know how much roughly for new servo's in XR8 auto? can It be done at home?

Daily driver 2: Nissan gq patrol

Project 1: XP ute, 351W, c4, 9inch

Project 2: XBGS sedan, sunburnt orange and vinyl, original 4spd, 302C.

for a 6 it was $165, flushed, new oil pan gasket, filter, and new oil

Posted by Xcabbi, Does it slap or rattle? Rattle is more to do with timing chains and tensioners. Slap is more to do with lifters, rings, bearings or GENIII boat anchors

pretty sure he's referring to an automatic transmission service???

Do XR8's have the same auto's as AU 6cyl???

No I think he's referring to the servo's on the ends of the bands. I would say NO, not at home, even taking the pan off you get covered in oil.

I had a servo isue with my au auto, 180 to fix. Its to do with reverse. Clinking and hunting for the gear. I woudnt do it at home realy need a hoist.

I change the oil in it at home no drama.

What problems did it display AZZA?

Gradual loss of reverse, the servo is on the side of the tranny. More slipping than clunking now i think of it.
