Default old ford paper clip

hi, i have put this on another thread hope admin dont mind, i pulled up some old floor covers and found this sales pitch on a ford back in 1962. it may be a bit hard to read.

They don't build em like they used to. You hear of old falcons that where purchased new then given a life of hell on farms, thrashed and bashed and never serviced, then they get sold after sitting in sheds and so forth, then you kick it and it starts!! That's tough, and definetly proof that cars in those days where built solid, reliable and robust. I'll bet no customers complained their XY or whatever had diff clunk after 30,000klms. The clevo would have drowned it out regardless, but hey I doubt the reliability of the 9inch was only limited to 30k clicks!

76txcoupe, trust me when I say the Falcon XM/XP aint no tough car. I'll give it full marks for rigidity though.

I think this guy is from the 'Canadian Hell Drivers'. And their team actually drove EK Holdens! Anyone else wondering what those ball joints would look like upon return to mother earth?!

I've never driven one but I believe you. My uncle has almond and grape crops in the Adelaide willunga region, and his choice of car for bashing around in is an XW wagon. It's never left his land and has been very reliable for 16 years.

dude - they are not allowed to depict any illegal activity any more, not even slinging one off a ramp, thank you wowsers for that

on the subject of the clip that is a peice of history and imho should be preserved, but thats just me - awesome find

loaded up the new mustang site on the us ford home page and it show a CGI stang ripping it up and everything why dont they use that angle and make sure people are aware that is a computer image not a real life drive
