Hey guys i was wondering do you know of any cold air intake kits for a 2002 ford focus 1.8L manual LX.
hoping to get one for my old man, not sure on which/where to get him. Anyone able to help out/ experience they have had with particular CAI's? K & N make a generic-ish kit for them? |

Welcome to the Forums Scump.
The very best CAI's for the Focus are the Pipercross Viper and the BMC CDA. However, they are not a simple "plug and play" fit, and take a bit of cutting of battery boxes etc. There are some other options, including the K&N, and I'll do a search later today to give you some options. The other excellent option is the standard air box from an ST170, which gives a much greater airflow. These are now sometimes avaialable form the US at a reasonable price. I'll see what I can dig up later today

Here's some links to get you started:
http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?Pag...&Category=1398 http://www.newedgeperformance.com/in...TS&Category=34 The AEM is well regarded. and K&N can be purchased here in Australia Also look at a Volant http://volant.com/edetail.asp?ID=151 There is also a scoop available for this that fits over the top of the battery Also here is a link for Pipercross http://www.pipercross.net/fastroad/p...&m2=41&app=132 and BMC CDA http://www.bmcairfilters.com/infoCDA.asp And look at the bottom of the page here for the ST170/SVT air box http://64.202.180.37/files/fengine.pdf That should keep you going....and the prices may scare you!
