Default fathers day cruise.

there is a cruise going on on the 6th september, fathers day.
it is organised by Rob Gooding, he is well known around the Benalla/Wangaratta area. it is open to anyone and any car. this is the write up in the NECC news letter.

Rob Gooding's group is conducting a family run to Katamitite on sunday the 6th september to remember Peter Brock who was killed 3 years ago.
first an explanation: Rob Gooding organises events that bring car lovers together on an informal basis. This is not a car club but simply a group of car owners who love to get out and drive their pride and joy, classic car, hot rod, street rod, modern classic or whatever.
The group go on runs to places of interest, put on car displays, attend shows and so on. it's a very diverse and friendly group open to anyone, young or old.
The Katamatite run leaves Drage airpworld (wangaratta airport) at 10am on fathers day september 6th, travelling via Benalla, it heads home after lunch via Yarrawonga and Bundalong. The overall distance is about 190km.
The get together is at the Katamatite tin shed which features a large screen tv, jukebox and 2 pool tables. Delicious hot meals are available at $16.50 a head or $3.50 for kids.

there are alot of nice cars that go on these runs.

anyone interested in going?
i'm going, my parents have said that a few people can crash at their place overnight & they can put on a BBQ breakfast.

if your intersted in staying overnight, contact me for more details. (ORSM members only)
if you want to travel up on the day there are 2 options.
1: meet at ford HQ, campbelfield for a 7:45am departure and go directly to the airfield meet point.
2: (ORSM members only) meet at ford HQ, campbelfield for a 6:15am departure and go to my parents house for a BBQ breakfast. if you are going to do this you must indicate no later than wednesday the 2nd september

would be great but as my work place just lost 4 staff, who wont be getting replaced the rostering has gone well down a big brown creek without a paddle and getting weekends off now close to impossible.

What they fail to tell you is that they are losing from 12 to 20 members every fortnight from resignations/retirements and also there are more non operational members now than ever, meaning less on the front line.

Ask any member at any station if they are short and the answer will be a resounding yes!

What if I meet you at Glenrown Servo there? I might be stopping at the maccas with my mate for a feed before we head off to Wang Airport.

How long will it take you to get there? it'll take me an hour.
