Bugger. Hope there wasn't too much damage to the chassis.

Looks like he'd be OK. Looks like he was able to stop it pretty well. Car looks like a mess.

Yeah he walked away from that fine! Bloody lucky with all the fuel pouring out. Hopefully he can get it fixed in 5 weeks to stay on top of the championship. He may have to borrow the other car he built for the boss...

Just saw this on the news tonight. Shocker of a crash, but glad he's ok. He's a top driver. Heard he has 5 weeks to rebuild the car ready for round 2. Better get cracking. :P

Was a big crash, id say it will need to have most of the chassis rebuilt as a minimum a full front half chassis with rear suspension and front body clip. I wonder if the engine hit the wall, if the crank hit the wall the whole engine could be junk. hopefully he can have it all back together for the next round. Does anyone know if he still has the old car, could get him valuble points if the other car still isnt fixed.

I think their is more damage then meets the eye, the grind he did on the wall would of scared the bottom of the chassis pretty badly. I personally think that car will never be the same if he fixes it.

He could just get a Brett Stevens engine if he needs one, their going cheap at the moment.

Ive been informend by a reliable source here in perth, that the car is being rebuilt for the next round in sydney. he cant use the second car, because its not his, but has been given permision to raid what parts he needs, to get the "rat" back on the track (suspension parts, that kind of thing)

The result of the crash was just real bad tyre shake.

Cheers

That's what I thought when I saw it on TV.

There's TONS of fuel pouring out all under the car......just so lucky it didn't ignite. You can't see it very well from those youtube vids......but the view from the front shows it.

IMO those safety marshalls should have hit that fuel spill with foam or dry chem ASAP to prevent any ignition......they were just standing around. :
