Default BA ICC colour screen question.

Hey Fadi, apart from the "security code error", can you tell me what the thin white horizontal line is on this screen please?

If it's no good, I have access to a BF Fairlane colour screen ICC...is it possible to swap the screens on these...it looks simple enough.
Cheers, Linz.

It looks like a lose connection as it is lit not black, but it could cost just as much to fix as to replace. Some of the shops sell the screens only (damaged dash). When i fitted my TFT screen it had none of that happening.
It depends on how much you paid for it weather you just get a new screen or take it back.

Dose your wagon have auto head lights (sun load sensor) as you could go for a dual zone acc conversion as a few people have done? I have a 05 MKII wagon with auto lights. might have been the change over time?

Hey mate, thanks for the info...I've pulled it all apart today and checked all of the connections and cleaned terminals, but it's still the same as before.
I haven't actually bought the ICC, it was given to me to check if it had the blue XR backlighting and to see if the screen worked.
I'm going to give it back tomorrow and see if I can get an ICC with single zone a/c, single cd (as I've read that a LOT of people are having problems with 6 stackers), blue XR backlighting and colour screen.
My wagon is 5/04 BA1 so has no auto headlights and I've read about the dual zone conversion, but it looks like too much stuffing around to be worthwhile.
I think I'll just shop around until I find one that I want and at the right price.
Cheers, Linz.

looks like a faulty screen.

fitting a tft screen to replace this screen will not work, you would need a different cd player to run a color tft.

if u need more info please call me 0397991444 or email fadi@aslautomedia.com

cheers

Thanks Fadi...so how many different colour screens are there? I thought there were only the small green screen (XT) and the 1 colour (larger) screen?
I understand that there are the different a/c and cd options but I know of only the one colour screen.
Is it possible to list all of the different ICC's and their features that were fitted to the B series cars, or is there somewhere on here that already has this info?
The sales brochures that I have are useless :
Cheers, Linz.

the one you have now its from a fairmont and not a fairmont ghia. there is only one color screen for all ba bf and territory and all of them work depending on the cd module you have on the ICC, urs at the moment will not operate the color screen and u need the premium sound cd module to be able to.
please call me for more info 0397991444

cheers
