Not sure, have not looked into that. Would make sense, but even in automatic vehicles you can roll back while in drive on a steep hill.
It was a option to fiddle with in the HMI. *Ok just looked into it. The UK website doesn't specify Manual or Auto safe to asume it is on Auto's a well. * Last edited by daz82; 17-07-2009 at 02:48 PM. |

Until the day the battery went flat. And here we were trying to push it onto the road to push start it, with my friend driving. He had activated it without knowing and we weren't quite strong enough to beat the breaks ;) But does make you wonder how easy it would be to get your manual car license - a hill start would be done perfectly. |

Hi all, just bought myself an XR5 and it is a wicked car.....it does have soem niceties missing that I had in my VW Jetta. But I can say the Hill Launch Assist is there and is a welcome addition.

I'm annoyed the diesel is hatch only. Hopefully this oversight will be corrected because I'm seriously considering a Modeo wagon to replace my Grand Voyager in a year or so. Seems MUCH better then a Commodore Sportswagon thing.
