Just noticed your signiture quote is the same as mine. Sounds like we came from the same school of driving too as "T5 operators" lol. Good quote from Motor. Ironic too you own a Venom Red XR6 HP with premium sound and 17inch wheels. : :
Hehehe i stumbled across that quote im trying to find a copy of the may 99 issue of motor ive e-mailed motor but no response.
IRS wouldnt u think think the (standard) extra ponies in the VCT engine would be sapped up by the heavier rear of the IRS

Next time try launching in second gear.. thats what the wuss-o-matic is like.

Anyhow, you'll have to find some more power in your HP otherwise the next grudge match is going to be a totally different story. You got me on the launch but you were not getting away after that. If I had your launch I would have had you.. I got the top end legs (yes, my MPH was higher remember : )

Gunna get ya next time :P
It's all down to the gearing. In the manual, I'm hitting the line in 3rd, and not far from the rev limiter. If I change in 4th, a lose a bit, and end up a tad slower. I need to be able to work out how best to maximise the power band, and be able to be hauling in 4th when I do hit the line.

I had two manual gear changes while I was 'not getting away' - so what's your excuse, auto-boy. :

Car changes into 3rd just before the line, 10rwkw less (apparently) and a heavier car. Still going to get you next time too! :P
