Default Water in hatch cavity / tail light in MB Mondeo

I've notice water dripping from the bottom of the hatch cavity when lifting up the hatch back. This was 2 days after it last rained. On closer inspection - I find that the tail light clusters (the ones on the hatch itself - I assume there are lights inside, or are they just reflectors for decorations?) are not sealed. Water running off the back of the car enters here, and escape by 2 holes one each sides at the bottom of the hatch. Wonder if anyone one else have noticed this in their car. My concern is that water can accummulate inside the hatch cavity, and cause corrosion inside without being noticed. Will raise this issue with Ford dealer when the 3000km service comes up.

Good luck getting Ford Australia to do anything about it.

I have the MA, and the water drips straight into the contents of the boot area, and the local Ford guys have declined to do anything about it. Quite a contrast to the service/treatment that the UK guys get.
