Default Steering wheel - Need advice on how to replace badge

Hi Guys,

I just called Ford parts and asked for a new badge for my steering wheel because the owner before me managed to damage it. They advised me (unhelpfully) that I'd have to buy the whole horn-pad and airbag unit if I wanted the Ford badge to look new again. That is, I'd have to pay $1,000 to replace a 30 cent badge.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement badge and how I can remove the old one?

Id think a very carefully handled screwdriver could prise the old badge off and ebay would be able to get you a new one.

Maybe I should pry it off and try to straighten it (its bent). Hopefully its not glued on too harshly.
