Default A/C trouble

Hey guys, my existing ac compressor was noisy and didn't cool for too long. Got a wreckers special and when cahnging over let all the gas out now the clutch doesn't engage and make the compressor turn. Dose anybody know if the system has a pressure switch to lockout the compressor.

Cheers
Danny.

Sure does. Safety feature designed to save the compressor form eating itself for lunch.
