Default Knocked rearview mirror off

G'day All,

Just wondering how much it costs to replace the rearview mirror?. I knocked it off by accident and now the plastic piece that slides onto the metal windscreen holder is broken. I supose i have the replace the whole mirror, since that is how things are these days?. I fixed it for the moment, but it will need to be replaced. Any idea about cost?.

Regards,

Rob

I had to replace one of my mirrors soon after took delivery of my new Fiesta in September. Vandalism, sad to say.

All up, including colour matching, it cost $720. I didn't claim it on insurance.

On the bright side, Ford had the spare part immediately available.

Rearview, not wing mirror I believe he is talking about.

In this instance, depending on how badly the plastic is broken, Araldite is your friend.

That's because you should be using Araldite, not Loctite.
