A mate of mine uses it in his 11.7:1 stroker 460 used to rattle on 98 octane. Another mate had his high winding 289 on it and a prominent tuner told him not to use it. The ethanol doesn't have good emulsion properties as well as some other issues. Any way this 289 made the most power on 95 octane! Emulsion properties again! But you just use what works for you!

Saw this stuff in Sydney recently - was driving a diesel so didn't fill up.
Never seen it in Queensland though!

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

I have used this for about the last 6 tank fills and it made a very noticable improvement over any of the 98 unleaded that i've tried. Even used it during the last two events i've been to, Coupe Anniversary @ DECA and Mallanats. No knocking at any rpm or load.

Used it when I changed ignition set-up and put it on the chassis dyno and the afr's were almost identicle to my last avgas dyno runs.

I have just pulled engine apart and no prob's seen inside!

Bottom line though is do the research with whoever services/builds your engine as every set up is different.

I've been using it for ages. Makes 7rwkw over 98ron.
Never had any issues.
Not really a cost saving, its about the same as 98.

And its from United not Liberty.

Is it available in Victoria? What is the price difference to 98RON? When Shell were selling 100RON ages ago I had my old car tuned for it and it ran great (my tuner said it was worth around 10rwkw at full noise and allowed for approx 3 extra degrees of timing over 98RON) but as Shell started putting the price up further and further I stopped using it and went back the 98RON tune. I think in end it was near 160c/L which when standard unleaded is 35c/L cheaper it was hard to justify.

Edit-Found the webiste...

It is only available in Bayswater in Victoria. Bit far for me to travel to get it being that I am on the other side of the city... :(
