Default NSW - Psst, the toll on Sydney's M4 has been removed.

As at midnight 15 February 2010, the NSW M4 toll was lifted and ownership of the road handed back to the NSW GovCo.

It was always going to happen was in the contract.

Yay for ******** traffic on the M4 and every road leading up to it being a standstill, now more than ever.

Needs to be expanded at the merge down to two lanes at james ruse dr.

Not a clue, haven't really looked it up since i never use the M4 but the Grill Team was speaking about it all morning today, congratulating each other etc.

Yes this is true, a big fat promise to scrap both the M4 and M5 tolls.
Bob Carr rode to power on the back of this promise and I have not forgotten. I have been trying to vote Labor out ever since.

stoopid toll, was driving in sydney on the 14th and 15th and flew back on the 16th, just as the toll came off. good old perth, toll less lol

Bahaha! Yeah right! Why would a Labor government want to give anything to the Liberal strongholds?

The whole thing stinks. Refunds for the M4 for people who live in the Labor electorate, while raising the bridge tolls etc.
