EL Oil Pressure Sender

Hi Everybody,
My oil pressure guage in my EL Fairmont is showing wierd reading. During short trips it reads normal, but as the engine heats up it can climb(doesn't always). I drove home on newyears with it pegged straight up in the red. I have talked to a few people and they recon it is probably just a bad oil pressure sender. I can't seem to find a new unit. The VDO catalogue lists a sender for a EF Fairmont but has no listing for the EL. The guy in the shop did not know if they were interchangable. Does anyone know if a EF Oil Pressure Guage Sender will fit and work properly in a EL.
