Default which way would you consider?

i was workin on the EB today, and... looks like she gunna need a few things addressed, so trying to decide which way i should go with the motor.

Options are: build a 347, supercharged 5lt or, maybe a boss 260 conversion?

$$$ it looks like they all cost around the same, about 5-6k... so what road would you go down???
or... would LOVE a T3 or pursuit 250 motor but how much are they??

Depends on how far you go with the 347. The supercharger is going to be the cheapest option.

260 conversion would be a headache.

I think the BOSS is the best option, simply for its reliability over the other two.

Feasibility wise, I am unsure.

Has it been done before in an E series?

not sure if its been done yet or if anyone is undertaking it atm... but certainly think a boss would be sweet.

as for the 347... hmmm, how long is a piece of string and $$$ wise, im thinking the boss 260 would be a cheaper option IF, can get it all to slide in without too many mods.

wonder how much difference the E series and BA engine bays differ?

Unless you can pick up a second hand 347 or a P250/T3 engine you won't build a decent quality 347 for 5-6k.

Cheapest option is a s/c 5.0.

I'd say strap on an air pump. A centrifical s/c will work well with a manual tranny.

Mr 460

Rowey has already done a EFI motor swap with wireing loom and dash board from a ED into a XF ute and changed it to a 5sp manual as well
it can be done and it goes very hard with a little of work .

I was under the impression that the boss is a very wide engine up top.
Maybe clearance issues in the engine bay???

There are kits you can buy to make clearance room up on the strut towers so boss v8s can be fitted to 70's mustangs and falcons, so surely theres something that could be adapted for an e-series... Besides, supercharged 5lts and 347 strokers have been done to death, im not saying it hasent been done, but i havent seen it.... yet
