Default User Names

Good evening,

For those who are observant, you will notice that there are now some 19,000 less members than there were earlier in the evening.

As part of our changes for 2010, we have purged all the inactive users (with zero posts) that have been inactive beyond a defined period of time.

As well as removing excess data from the database, this will also free up a number of user names (including some good ones) that had previously been in use. Those wanting a change to one of those names should first check in the member list if it is available and then make the request in the user name change thread.

As a matter of interest our total registration count is about 80,000 currently but the purges have kept the numbers down to active user counts of about half that number.

Cheers
Russ

Near enough to meeting the criteria - I'll change yours accordingly.

Cheers

Russel, just curious, on the bottom part of AFF home page it now says there are only 2million posts(2,913,xxx). What's happened?

If you check in the Thread "3 Million Posts" it explains why.

It does not reflect total AFF posts - deleted posts, Admin posts, none visible areas (discontinued Sponsors etc), etc.

Cheers

So if you want to beat em, ya gotta join em, and being manual makes the time even more credible.
