The manual's are great. With a bit of practice you'll rocket off the line. They love the highway too. 140kmph seems to be a sweet spot in 5th, and good strong pulling from about 80-110 in 4th.

I haven't had such a nice handling/touring car since my Calibra, and there's been a lot in between, especially since mine is a sub-$20K car new. Yours should be just that bit nicer..

Here's the thing.

Car companies and Dealers HATE having stock that hasn't been sold.

The obverse of that is, they see a "bank" of orders as really, really good.

Irrespective that it ****es off customers.

It is a car company culture mindset, not a customer service mindset

(And obviously salespeople don't tell you about the delay up front, as they fear they may lose the sale if they tell the truth)

Send all the Ford Dealers in the city telling them what happenned, what you were going to buy, and what price you were quoted.... and tell them that the best deal you get in 48 hours gets a rock solid sale

Will they sell your new fiesta as well? I'd change dealers, it'll be their loss.

You'll notice a big difference between the Festi and the Focus.

Size(interior) power, handling.... cant you just find another dealer? Let them know what happened up front, they'll find a car for you quick smart I would think.

If you do go Festi, I guess they still are a good car. Good luck either way
