Default AU Auto question..

Hey all, 2 questions for you all, to find out whats normal and whats not...

1))) My auto clunks into first sometimes when coming up to a set of lights or just stopping in general, if i brake consistantly its not so bad, if i brake hard then let off some times it clunks.

When the auto is cold its pretty good and firm, no clunks, once hot its like the oil gets to thin.

The auto was replaced 15,000 ago and the level was apparently "checked" by herrod motorsport at that time, got it wrong and had to check it again.

Is everyones auto a bit sloppy? normal trait of the AU slush box?

2))) Whos had experiance with the variable shift kit from shift kits.com?

Can you set the shirt firmness to give you a great solid shift without a chirp or a jolt? And when you manually downshift does it increase the downshift speed or does that not change it??

Thanks lads

So its clunking when your slowing down at a set of lights ? When you go to take off from the lights does it clunk ?

Sounds like its low on oil.

Mine doesn't clunk at all and stalls to 2000rpm, Shifts the same when its hot or cold.

Hope thats the issue! Nah doesnt clunk on take off, gear changes on wards are a little ruff on low accelration but mesh together nicely on hard accelleration!

PM sent and also yes you can adjust the firmness to whatever you want, yes it does make it a firmer shift on downshifts aswell.

yup had one for a couple of years. not any noticeable gains at the strip. It helps the auto dump down for some sideways action at the circuit though.
very simple to fit also.
