Default Belt guard?

Hi. Been tidying up my engine bay and wouldn't mind one of those cowlings you see on the front of some AU and E series motors. Like this. What is this thing called? Is it easy to fit? Do I need one from an AU, or will say an EF/EL one fit? Anyone got a spare one lying about? If not at least I'll know what to ask for in Parts Wanted. Thanks.

About $10 from a wrecker, only came on EF/EL it was deleted on AU for cost reasons.

Fitting is a piece of cake, take the lid off the p/s tank and the nut out of the radiator fitting and just sits on top, do up the nut and your done.

they def had them on the vct motors as they have a different cut out to go round the front of the vct unit at front of motor as well as clip the solenoid wire to, although in saying that my origional motor didnt have one may have been case of just use up whats left over

Certainly do. I thought they would've fitted them to all models though.

I guess for the extra cash you get a belt guard AND a Ghia badge
