Does anybody have any information about how the AU, AUII and AUIII went in the Production car Racing (Procar), Race Results, how it compared to the Opposition, Any Pic's would be Great Also.
I saw in 2003 a few AU XR8's in the series but wouldlike to know how they went from 1999 to 2003. |

Darryl Coon did better than the XR8s in his XR6HP, but was eventually knobbled with weight and rev limit restrictions to keep him from beating them and the SS Commodores.

Is this the car?
There's quite a bit of a story behind that car too. It was the back-up car for the filming of the black and white(ish) ads for the AU XR launch. The car had to be silver so it would look better on TV, but XR wasn't available in silver. So a red XR was pinched off the production line and given a very quick outside only re-spray. Under bonnet, behind doors, ect.., was still red. After much pressure from potential customers, Ford finally offered a silver on the XR's in '99.

Looks sweet! So the website about the car no longer exists? Any archive or mirror of it or anything?
