Can anyone tell me how long you can expect out of a timing chain on an AU XR6 II and when they have to changed? Cheers |

I don't think i've ever seen or heard of a timing chain being replaced in an AU.
I've seen several cabs with over half a million kays on them unopened, so i'd hazard a guess timing chain is something you never ever need to worry about in your AU.

Ive replaced a couple, one had a chain stretch and jump 4 teeth, another broke guides so i replaced the chain anyway
I wouldnt worry about changing one until it fails, both cars where about 180,000kms |

I've been told they don't need replacing under normal wear and tear. One of the great things about having an AU.
