Only thing better than 1 AU is 2 AU's.
I have owned a S1 Ghia and currently own a S2 Ghia and a T2 TE50.

Im kind of in the same boat.
I have a 03 BA Fairmont and am looking at getting a BA MKII or BF MI XR8.
Apart from the obvious driveline upgrade and the body kit, the only things i will be gaining from it, that my car doesnt have is the Premium Sound and the Leather seats (it will be optioned with these), and about 120000km less Km's.
I already have Dual Zone Climate in the Fairmont.

I know it is a massive upgrade to the awesome V8 but it still really is the same model as im already driving.
If it were an FG, i wouldnt even think twice.

Offcourse it's an upgrade, even if it's still an AU, you are going from the I6 to the V8, so in my mind that's an upgrade. lol..

You can ask, and they can say no. Good thing buying from a dealers - you get 5000km or 3 months warranty, so make sure you flog it for 2 months, and then back to dealers to get anything broken fixed. 12k for an AU3 220 is good value.

Agreed, although the lack of rego is a good way to try to bargain the price down some more. Perhaps say, "I'll pay the asking price, but if you put a year's rego on it." They might haggle back with 6 months. Worth a go though!

All the best with it.

It's not that great of a price for a Auto with 1 month Rego. About average.

Unless you can get it for around $10 - 10.5k as is, I would probably just keep the 6. At least you know what work you have already done on it and what is due soon e.t.c. Bit of a gamble otherwise even if it has been well maintained.

I don't think I would be floging it, maybe some spirited driving but not to the stage where thing's would break just to get them fixed at the dealer under waranty that is probably not worth the paper it's written on.

I think its a great price..the rarity of these cars are holding the prices up..The kilo`s are not too high.. Just make sure it hasnt been in a big biggle..check the doors close well etc....
